Is separateness sustainable? Can we continue on the path of fighting for our individuality and our individual rights when science has already proven that we are all inextricably inter-connected? Are we destined to become mass consciousness and nothing else? Are we meant to all become the same, to become ONE? How do we negotiate our way through this idea that what I do effects everyone and everything around me without feeling guilty for trying to take care of myself and doing what I personally enjoy? Does today's post seem to ask more questions than offer answers? Perhaps, but in asking the questions, I hope you will begin to see the ludicrousness of the some of the ideas that individuals are perpetuating as they attempt to promote "Oneness."
The sum of the whole may in fact be greater than its parts, but the parts need to be as valued as the whole in order for this statement to be true. The parts also need to be valued as individuals, maintain their identity and remain free to fulfill their soul's potential and desire. It is only then that the sum truly becomes greater than its parts. When each individual is valued for what they bring, trusted for where they are in their process, and it is known that what they do can not harm the process, because nothing works outside of the whole. In other words nothing works "outside of Source (God, Allah, Universal Consciousness)," then and only then will the sum become greater than the parts.
Yes, we are moving into a time where the energies of planetary alignments, etc. support community action, a time in which we can come together in purpose and make massive shifts utilizing group energy, a time where it is helpful to support others in becoming conscious, but if we do not maintain our individuality and our identity we will eventually be drinking "cool-aide" rather than making a difference in the world.
Here on earth, we are both, individual and interconnected. We must work individually on ourselves(the microcosm), knowing that our choices affect the macrocosm. When we feel whole within ourselves, we will feel part of the greater whole of humanity. Never was the message of Oneness meant to minimize the individual or even worse remove the individual. The messages of Interconnectedness and Oneness are meant to remind us that our individual choices effect others. Individual choices based in integrity, concern for others, and soul purpose will send out ripples of love and high vibration, they will be present for others to receive if they so choose. Nowhere were we ever meant to give up our individuality for the greater good.
