How Can We Get More Out Of Life?

Experience is the key. When we surrender our need to control we open ourselves to simply having an experience. When we let go of our judgement of the experience, we simply can have the experience for experiences sake. This allows us to fall more deeply into the moment simply by allowing the experience without expectation or trying to get something in particular out of it. When we can let go of our need to impress and vie for position or status and let go of our own wanting and desire, we free ourselves and others to just be. At first we may not see the value or benefits of this behavior that stems from a place of equanimity, but it can only help us in maintaining and finding further equanimity and balance in our lives. Being in the moment with what is, does not preclude the notion of asking the universe for what we want and setting a course in our lives for attaining it. One does not have to choose between these two seemingly divergent paths, we can do both. We do it each time we ask, act, and surrender.
